As you can see he has now worked out where they are, and seems to love just getting them out of the dish and onto the floor. Doesn't often play with them, just likes to make a mess and then watch us tidy it all up.
In the meantime he has also managed to make a yellow LiveStrong Armstrong cancer band disappear! This is pretty impressive given the size and the colour.
Oh and for anyone that thought I might have commented on Domino by now - I didn't get to watch it. Sands didn't go out in the end so I will have to wait!
It has been a while since I posted something. I have actually been pretty busy, which is a little strange for me. Needless to say that a lot if it has been created by Moreno!
For some reason today he decided that my running socks (clean I will add) must have been a mouse. He picked them up in his mouth and ran around with them for at least 30 minutes. He kept jumping in and out his box, and trying to find a place to settle down and eat them. He is mad, but very very funny.
One of the reasons that I have been so busy though is that the other day he found out that he could now jump/climb onto the top of the units in our kitchen:
This isn't a problem on the units above the sink as they are flush to the wall, but the other side (1st picture) have the fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave built in so (as we found out!) there is actually a gap running down the back of the units or varying width. Moreno found it! Don't think he was stuck as such, but he didn't seem able to get out so step ladders, a very tight squeeze, and one startled looking cat later I had pulled him back up. Of course he waited until 11pm to do all this. To stop him going back down we tried to keep him out of the kitchen and put some wooden trays across the top of the units weighted down with a very heavy baking tray. CRASH - he managed to get in and now the baking tray is stuck behind the units! He was OK, but a little startled. Anway we have now put some wood across the top and covered the gaps, so he has a new place to play. He can get down on hos own from the side bby the sink (2nd picture) but seems to need help from the other side.
Sands has had me putting up some window blinds (7 in total) and a neighbour has just bought one as well so I haven't finished that chore yet!
As for January, it was really quiet and very healthy. Lost 9lbs and my running is getting better - and I still haven't shaved! No reason. Strangely enough it isn't itching or bohering me like it has before so am just seeing what happens. Is kinda strange to have a beard that I can comb!!!!
I think that about brings me back up to speed :-)
Actually it doesn't! As you know I love 24 and I love gadgets so this site made me smile.
Here he goes again! Saturday we got some stuff sent over from the US, so of course we needed some help opening it!
He is so into anything that he can get his paws on, or in. He is always trying to open things, get into things and combined with his teeth he is pretty impressive.
What was really funny was that the polystyrene still retained a lot of static, so none of us could shake it off very easily.
Now, I know I am biased but I think he is really smart, very inquisitive and amazingly handsome!
When I was growing up we had cats - but with the exception of a few pictures I have to rely on my memories. Moreno is helping bring back those memories, and so with him I want to have as many reminders as possible.
I have been playing with a neighbours news Sony DSC - SR70 that they got for Xmas over the last couple of days. They want me to edit and create a film of their sons wedding later in the year, so I wanted to get to grips with it. Boy was it tough. I wont bore you with the details as I have written about it here BUT suffice to say importing raw footage into a Mac is a nightmare!
This is a shame as the actual Camcorder is pretty nice. The quality of the footage it records is execellent and when played back on a TV is impressive. Unfortunatley the same can't be said for these three movies:
One plastic bag and one Xmas card that plays music and one very active cat - enjoy!
This is the sink in our utility room. He loves it a) because it is a sink so there is water, b) the utility room is pretty messy so lots to explore and c) 4 doves are currently using the window lattice as their resting and sleeping place so he is fascinated by them.
Take one plastic carrier bag, one milk carton box, a plastic ball and a very playful cat and this is what you get. The movie is a little long and at times Moreno doesn't do much, but when he does it happens pretty quickly.
He is also continuing to explore as the pictures below show. He loves to sit up on top of the shower. In fact he likes to sit up on top of pretty much everything, including the door in my study. Not sure he can actual read the map or the postcards though :-)
Over the last couple of days it seems like he has got a lot stronger and a little bigger. He now now jump higher and get himself up onto and into a few new places:
In addition to the fridge, he also likes to "help" put the dishes away!
