We have recorded the first 4 episodes of the new series, Torchwood. Best described as a rather more sinister, darker, adult Dr Who.
Watched the first episode last night and loved it - going to watch a couple more tonight, maybe all 3 :-)
One for the UK people I guess :-) have just watched the latest (and last) Prime Suspect - absolutely awesome as our friends across the pond would say!
Has there evere been a better long running franchise of this type? I think not!!!
For some reason neither of us are feelingthat motivated at the moment to either socialise orexercise. It isn't unusual for me not to feel like socialising!
Anyway it was a good job that there were two great football (soccer) games to watch today.
Earlier todat Man Utd (my team) beat Liverpool (Sands team) 2-0 in what is probably the biggest game of the season in the English league.
This evening Real Madrid (my taem in Spain) beat Barcelona (probably Sads team in Spain) 2-0 in what is probably the biggest game of the season in club football in the world.
Sometimes you just need to close the door on the world, cul up on the sofa and watch some TV :-) As I have so many movies recorded that I haven't watched yet I think I may make a week of it and go into hibernation?
Never one to be at the "cutting edge" we only caught on to 24 with the last series (5). Really enjoyed it so with my usual compulisive tendancy behaviour went out and bought the first 4 series on DVD!
Have now just finished watching Series 1. As with Series 5 which was show on Sunday evenings in the UK (which we pick up via satellite) we retained the habit of watching on a Sunday evening, only this time we watched two episodes at a time.
It was interesting to watch Series 1 having already watched Series 5 to see how the series has developed in terms of technology and production, but the "bones" of the story in terms of characters, story line, complexity etc were all there. I have tosay the last but one epiosde had an amazing twist in the plot that I never saw coming!!! The DVD had an alternate ending, and I am glad that they went with the original as I had got a little fed up with her character!!
