He really is settling in well!

Here he is looking out of the window in the lounge - as if he had been here for years. It has been a LONG time since I have had a cat and he is just rolling back the years for me as he constantly reminds me of experiences from my past with the cats we used to have.

Of course he wouldn't be out cat unless he was into Macs, but even this seems a little bit OTT considering it is only 3 days since we adopted him:

He loves sitting on my knee whilst I "work", but when he wants me to take a break he tends to let me know :-) He sent a very interesting iChat message to a friend the other day when he walked across the keyboard mid conversation,

Sands Den

The other night we watched the third Star Wars film. I am enjoying them, Sands finds them a bit too "samey". However we watched this film in Sands Den (formally the media room).

I had recorded the film off Sky + onto my Mac mini via the TV Max. The movie was then streamed across the wireless network to Sands iMac, where we watched it via dual screen on the Sony TV.

This is pretty cool stuff, and a little necessary at the moment until I sort out the issue of connecting my Mac mini to the TV

I am still playing around with video, posts, blogs etc. so here is another vieo that I have taken.

I am sort of trying to gather pictures and videos of peoples work areas so if you want to send me any pictures or videos (Mac related only at this stage) I would really appreciate it.

It is all viewable on my blog , with the videos on the MyAppleStuff TV page and the pictures over on Flickr

It was late at night, I was excited to get these babies open so the quality of these videos isn't brilliant but they give a good enough insight into the packaging and size of these little beauties:

In the first Sands gets a surprise as she didn't know I was buying these, and in the second I try and approach the unopening a little more calmly!

First, I KNOW that Apple call it the Mac mini, but I really prefer two big M's!!!!

Second, I love it. I am not going to go into any technical or geek stuff here (you can find that at www.myapplestuff.com) but I did want to share some pictures with you :-)

What I particularly like about these is the way the capture an awful lot of what is special in my life: the picture on the wall of my wife modelling some Harley gear, some of my Harley's, the plaque for been a member of the Iron Butt Association the Mac stuff of course, and the map of America where I have spent a lot of time and have some great friends.

In particular, look at the new iPod Shuffle next to the bigger grown up models!

And of course I just love the desktop picture of the two latest doves to enter of growing family. Lots more pictures on their flickr account and they even have their own Vox blog.

VERY quick as still sorting out the Mac Mini BUT the 2G iPod Shuffle arrived this evening, and bloody sexy they are too :-)

Pics and video when I get a moment, but for now take my word for it - they are GREAT!

A VERY quick blog as I far to busy to worry about a long update, but......I really don't know whether to laugh or cry!

Literally 20 minutes ago the doorbell rang and it was TNT with my Mac Mini. What a great surprise, BUT no shipment notification from Apple, no email from the supervisor at Apple to say they were prioritizing the shipment.

Don't get me wrong I am TOTALLY delighted with the fact it has arrived earlier than the revised schedule, heck after all the crap I have been through I am delighted that it has arrived!!

I am not going to do anything with it tonight, but I did manage to shoot some pictures and take a quick video so I will have to make do with those for now.

Can't wait for tomorrow!

In the meantime here are a few picture

And a video. Not the best quality as a bit dark, and I have left the sound on so you can hear my lovely wife chatting away in the background :-)

OK, so this really isn't that exciting! I took this video partly out of relief that the screenhad turned up after the PacelForce cock up to prove that the address was correct, but mainly to have some evidence if the screen was broekn partly as I had bought it off eBay and partly in case it was damaged in transit.

It struck me that this is a pretty good idea for anything that you get delivered and it also acts as evidence that you owned the item if you ever have an insurance claim :-)
